PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION OF THE BA IN INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS – MAJOR IN DIGITAL ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS

The BA in International Economics – major in Digital Economics and Business was built pursuant to the General Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City (BUH) to match the missions, visions, educational philosophy, as well as the functions of this University and the International Economics Faculty. In addition, the training program was built with predetermined objectives based on specific learning needs, market demand, the organization’s strategic, local human resources, and individual development plans. Finally, this programme was also built with reference to the BA program of prestigious universities both domestically and internationally.

Program description of the BA in International Economics – major in Digital Economics and Business includes:

  1. INSTITUTION AUTHORIZED TO GRANT DEGREES: Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City (BUH), and the degrees will be signed by the Rector.
  2. TRAINING UNIT: International Economics Faculty (HUB)

  6. ADMISSION: Nationwide. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, and they must apply for admission according to the regulations of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City as well as the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The knowledge volume of the full-time training program includes:

- General and professional subjects: 122 credits. Their scores are used for the cumulative grade point average (GPA) and degree classification.

- Physical education (05 credits) and Military Training Education (08 credits). These modules are conditional and their scores are not included in the cumulative average score and degree classification.

  1. REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION

The training process is carried out in accordance with the current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City. Conditions for graduation are considered according to the Full-time training regulations at Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City. After the required number of credits and certificates are fully accumulated, a graduate degree will be granted.

  1. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

General objectives:

Graduates of the Digital Economics and Business major are supposed to have sufficient background knowledge of 6th level in Vietnamese Qualifications Framework. Graduates have sufficient attitude, skills and knowledge that fulfill the requirements of firms, and government offices in globalization.

- Life-time learner for labor market demands. Graduates can study the second BA in business or finance and other subjects as well as follow higher studying domestically and internationally.
