NEW TRENDS IN DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION FOR BUSINESSES

For example, in the textile industry, by 2023, 100 enterprises had implemented digital transformation in their production processes; for the processing and manufacturing industry, smaller enterprises tend to have the ability to transition more quickly. For example, industrial enterprises can integrate technologies such as AI, machine learning and production automation, and business management. For agricultural businesses, the use of IoT sensors to collect data on weather, soil, and crops, combined with Big Data and Analytics, automates tracking, analysis, and alerts to increase productivity, reduce risks, and minimize resource waste.

In agriculture, notable examples of applying technologies for disease monitoring, consumption, and source tracing include TH True Milk Group and Vinamilk Company.

PROCESSING AND MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY INCREASED 6.3% IN 4 MONTHS
The report on industrial production and commercial activities in April and the first 4 months of 2024 shows that industrial production is positive when the industrial production index is estimated to increase by 0.8% over the previous month and increase by 6.3% over the same period last year. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 7.0%; Electricity production and distribution increased by 11.3%; water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 6.6% over the same period last year.

In the first 4 months of the year, there were 54 localities whose industrial production index increased compared to the same period last year and only 9 localities decreased compared to the same period last year. Industrial production indexes of a number of secondary industries increased compared to the same period last year such as: production of rubber and plastic products, production of electrical equipment, production of chemicals and chemical products, manufacturing beds, cabinets, mining metal ores,... Meanwhile, in the opposite direction, the IIP of some industries decreased: repair, maintenance and installation of machinery, exploitation of crude oil and natural gas , production of transport vehicles decreased.
