DHL Express promotes green air transport in Singapore.
DHL collaborates with Neste to deploy SAF in Singapore, marking a major step in the efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the aviation sector in the region.
DHL Express, the world's leading international express delivery service provider, has just signed an important agreement with Neste, a producer of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), to promote low-emission air transport in the Asia region. According to the agreement, approximately 9.5 million liters (equivalent to 7,400 tons) of Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel will be supplied to DHL Express in Singapore, starting from July 2025.
This is one of the largest SAF contracts in Asia in the field of air cargo based on volume. The SAF fuel is produced at Neste's refinery in Singapore - currently the largest SAF production facility in the world, which will supply about 35% - 40% of the total fuel for the 5 Boeing 777 aircraft of DHL Express operating at the South Asia Hub at Changi Airport. These aircraft operate 12 intercontinental flights a week, connecting Singapore with Asia and America.

Hai Phong Emerging as a Key National Logistics Hub
President Luong Cuong reaffirmed the strategic role of Hai Phong City as it is becoming a major economic, industrial, and logistics center of the country.
This view was expressed by President Luong Cuong during his remarks at the Hai Phong Investment Promotion Conference 2025, held on July 15 as part of the ABAC 3 Conference Week.
In 2024, Vietnam’s import-export turnover exceeded USD 786 billion, placing the country among the world’s top 20 trading nations. Among them, Hai Phong serves as the largest export gateway in the North, plays a pivotal role in the global supply chain network.
Against a backdrop of geopolitical and technological shifts, the President emphasized that adaptability and innovation are vital for survival - qualities that Hai Phong possesses, with its ecosystem of seaports, industrial zones, and smart urban areas. He stated that these projects enhance customs clearance capacity, create tens of thousands of jobs, and reaffirm the city’s role as a strategic growth pole.
According to him, the National Assembly’s approval of a resolution allowing the pilot implementation of the first free trade zone in the North serves as an “institutional runway” for Hai Phong to make a breakthrough and become one of the region’s most dynamic and innovative economic centers. He called on the business community not to stop at exchanging investment opportunities, but to jointly “create value, spread knowledge, and move towards an open, inclusive, and resilient Asia-Pacific.”
